The objective for the midterm project is to develop a presentation that covers the concept that interested you most and how you see it applied in practice in a proposed project. You can touch on any number of topics / go in any number of directions that is somehow connected to what we have covered / seen in class up to now. Your proposal can be practical / humorous / fictional / academic. Regardless of your approach — you need to show research to back up your concept / idea. Connect to your strengths — use knowledge you have from your major or extra-curricular interests. Illustrate your idea with images you collage together or do your own photography / drawing. (make sure to credit your source if not original) Minimum Total Citations (Bibliography and Direct References): 28
20 Bibliography / Links of text sources from class content and outside materials, cited in MLA format
5 Direct references, cited in MLA format. The direct references do not go into the bibliography / links section.
Minimum of 3 original images/drawings with MLA citations (you may cite yourself)
Page 1: Title Page (DESMA 9: Art, Science and Technology. Title. Name. Section)
Page 2: Abstract(100~200 words)
Page 3: Concept/Topic (100~200 words)
Page 4: Context & Precedents (100~200 words)
Page 5-7: Project Proposal + Original Diagram/Illustration (100~200 words for each page)
Page 8: Conclusion (100~200 words)
Page 9: References (5 minimum). Please use the MLA Handbook for format guidelines
Page 10: Bibliography/Links (20 minimum)
